Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park
Tannehill has more than 1,500 acres of land that have been developed for hiking, camping and other recreation. There is a miniature railroad, and areas where a blacksmith, miller and craftsmen demonstration their trades from spring through fall. Their shops are in restored pioneer cabins.
Tannehill Park is a day use park open 365 days a year. Park usage is generally limited to sunrise to sunset including holidays except for campground activities and receptions. The visitor center is open from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. It is closed on Sundays. Parking lots, restrooms and hiking trails are open every day.
Hours for the Iron & Steel Museum of Alabama are from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturdays and 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. on Sundays.
Visitors can experience the lifestyles and operations of the historic iron making community through demonstrations at the blacksmith shop and living history programs such as the Civil War battle reenactment.

Holiday Raceway AKA “The Beach”, has been open since 1968. Starting out with open class heads up drag racing, we now run three bracket classes paying 8 places in Pro-Bracket, Foot-Brake, and two places in Jr. Dragster. We are open every Saturday night during the racing season. During the week, we open on Thursday nights for Test and Tune. Test and Tune is the perfect opportunity for the adrenaline junky, the occasional speed freak, or the beginner to take their car down the 1/8 mile. Test and Tune is run on Thursday nights from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and offers everyone an opportunity to test their skills on the drag strip. Whether you want to run your parents station wagon, your brand new car, motorcycle or race car, Holiday Raceway is the place for you.
